Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman have demonstrated it alone and take a look at the magnificent scenery, which took place before their trip, invites you to follow suit: one with the motorcycle from London to New York.

Quer durch Europe, Russia, KazakhstanThat Mongolia and North American continentThrough green landscapes, barren deserts and forests Russian taiga – This is a Dream trip the other way, a journey on which one goes to the limit, where the cold and rain on the agenda are just as falls and mishaps. But it is also a journey on which one comes close with a foreign climate, alien vegetation and alien cultures in contact. Rather than a trip by car to get in touch with local people – be they farmers in Kazakhstan, Nomads in Mongolia or logging in Russia is dependent on their help and hospitality and learn even more about life in other parts of the world.
The trip preparation

As with any major journey, adequate preparation is essential. Especially when one ventures into unknown areas, away from tourist destinations, the tour must be planned thoroughly. In addition to the Choice of machine – Here it depends on the questions of whether one holds on paved roads or go off road much, how hard is the motorcycle can be, especially when it is fully packed, as it is comfortable even after hours in the saddle yet, and how vulnerable the machine for damage is, or how well they can be repaired with a breakdown in the middle of nowhere – is the Planning the route an important point. “How are the road conditions? Are the roads or paths of the chosen route passable all year round? Where can I refuel and replenish supplies? How are the weather conditions? “Are just some questions that you ask yourself when planning your trip needs and also the choice of Equipment . a say Tents and sleeping bags should be as light and easy to transport and still be warm enough. Quick-drying Functional clothing and a wind-and rain repellent combination are the most important pieces of clothing in such a journey. Also, tools, supplies, first aid kit, a Camping-Kocher (Not everywhere it is allowed or advisable to make an open fire), not to mention a thick stack of documents with papers, Entry visas, Etc. have to find room in their luggage. Even dealing with the locals want to be occasionally prepared. How you react to friendly offers of hospitality? Or how to confront corrupt officials? How to communicate with people? No matter where you are, it is advisable here to learn a few words and phrases of the local language.
Are motorcycle, distance, equipment and all entry formalities prepared so still remains a point on the checklist: a test drive. Was fully laden with machine, tent and sleeping bag it for a few days or longer to go through the European wilderness, perhaps by Scotland, Sweden or Eastern Europe. This is not only a good travel preparation, but even a little vacation in itself.

Singapore is one of the most interesting places in Asia if not the world. What makes Singapore so fascinating is the fact that this is the diversity that it offers. In fact during the post world war phase there was a mass rate of migration into this lace. This is the major reason why Singapore offers such great diversity. Primarily because of the diversity of the population that resides here, all year through there is some kind of celebration that is being hosted out here. Since the dominant majority residing here is the Chinese population, it is the Chinese festivals that receive the maximum enthusiasm and most dazzle.

Of all these events one of the events that stands out is the Festival of Hungry Ghosts. According to the Tao faith the seventh lunar month is the month of the Ghosts. This is the time when the gates of hell are opened and the spirits of the dead come back. It is on the 15th night that the celebrations reach up its climatic heights of enthusiasm. This is the night the borders between the living and the dead is believed to be opened up and the spirits of the deceased come down to visit their successors. The livings therefore pay their homage in form of burning incense and joss paper.

Yet the Chinese are known for their hospitality. This spirit of hospitality is extended beyond the realms of the living. Therefore the spirit guests are entertained not just with the burning of incense and offering of fruits. The ancestors are grandly entertained with some lively performances and display of traditional folk art. A very boisterous kind of performance called the wayand and getai performance forms an intricate part of the Chinese culture. It is believed that the ancestors would be genuinely entertained with these performances. Therefore, they are performed on a grand scale during this time.

The performances over time have also expanded to include other displays like stand up comical performances, dance shows and also acrobatic performance. And if you thought you would have to be dead to be a part of it all you are wrong. These performances are out on display for the living locals as well as the tourists. Although you might never get a place in the reserved front row, you can be sure that you would get a great view and be pulled into the enthusiasm and splendor of it all.
