The Dumpling Festival in Singapore

Singapore has many Chinese festivals happenings throughout the year and one of it is the Dumpling Festival that happens every June each year. The Dumpling Festival is also known as the Dragon Boat Festival. During the festival, the streets of Singapore are filled with dumplings and glutinous rice desserts on sale. In addition, the joyful event also include fun performances from dragon boat races, lion dance dancers, Chinese orchestra performers, Chinese opera, and more. There is even a karaoke evening event during the festival.

We all know that dumpling is one of the known dishes of our Chinese brothers and sisters and is now becoming one of the favorites anywhere in the world. If you want to see different variety of dumplings, then you must visit Singapore on June of each year to witness the largest and the longest Dumpling Fair ever.

The excitement of the Dumpling Festival does not end with the widest array of dumplings. Tourists can also proceed to the Singapore River to witness the powerful rowers rowing their dragon boats to the pounding beat of drums.

In addition, if you want to witness the highlight of the festival, then proceeding to the Albert Mall is advisable to witness the active teams of rollerblades wearing a dragon-like costume as they race down and clear numerous obstacles along the mall.

If you love dumplings but missed to visit Singapore during the festival, you need not to worry because dumplings in Singapore is available the whole year round.
